We encourage submissions describing various types of research, including empirical, theoretical, and tool-oriented studies. TOPICS OF INTEREST The topics of the submissions should be of direct interest to the software analysis, evolution, and reengineering community (including researchers, practitioners, educators). Papers involving AI must either (a) concern a software system as a whole, or a subsystem, and not simply its AI or ML component, (b) consider software engineering artifacts, (c) target a novel context for a software engineering task, or (d) study human, social, socio-technical, and organizational aspects in the development of AI-intensive software systems (see also “Scoping Software Engineering for AI: The TSE Perspective”, 10.1109/TSE.2024.3470368). Other papers may fit more AI- or ML-specialized venues instead. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer review process and will be selected based on originality, quality, soundness, and relevance. Submissions must be original, not published, accepted, or under review elsewhere. SPECIAL JOURNAL ISSUE Authors of selected research papers accepted at SANER 2026 will be invited to submit revised, extended versions of their manuscripts for a special issue featured by Springer’s Empirical Software Engineering Journal (EMSE). The best papers from the conference will be awarded. CALL FOR WORKSHOPS In SANER 2026, we solicit proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the main conference. Workshops can be full or half-day and should highlight a specific topic of interest related to software analysis, evolution, and reengineering. We encourage workshop organizers to include activities that provide their participants with a true workshop experience. All workshops will tentatively be scheduled for the first day of the conference (March 17, 2026), the day before the main conference. Submission Instructions Proposal submission: By 20th August, 2025 AoE, the workshop proposal (in the form of call for papers) should be submitted to the workshops EasyChair page: https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=saner2026 . CALL FOR TUTORIALS The SANER 2026 Workshops & Tutorials track invites practitioners and researchers to deliver insightful tutorials on various topics related to Software Analysis, Evolution, and Reengineering. These tutorials aim to expand the community’s understanding of advanced software engineering topics, valuable tools and technologies, as well as research methodologies. We are soliciting abstracts with the intention of presenting a tutorial in the following categories: 1 - Technical Tutorial: Speakers present the use of a tool or technology that aids the developers in Software Analysis, Evolution, and Reengineering. 2 - Research problem: Speakers provide a general view of the state-of-the-art for a topic related to Software Analysis, Evolution, and Reengineering and further present details of a specific research problem that still needs to be addressed by the community. Submission Instructions The proposal should not exceed one page (with up to one additional page for references) and should outline the talk. Over the last two decades, the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) has evolved rapidly, adapting to innovations that have transformed everyday life. Integrating Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Robotics, voice interfaces, wearable devices, and the Internet of Things has brought HCI to the forefront of scientific inquiry, offering novel possibilities and complex challenges. These technologies are not only changing how we use digital systems but also influencing the ways we think, learn, communicate, and interact on a personal, social, and organizational level. This year’s conference aims to inspire a comprehensive dialogue on how these technologies are reshaping the landscape of HCI and redefining the boundaries of human capabilities. [MuC 2025] Call for Student Volunteers and Strudent Research Competition

Hi all! As a member of the organizing team for this year's Mensch und Computer 2025 (MuC 2025), I invite you to consider the various opportunities to participate in the conference. MuC 2025 will take place from August 31 to September 3, 2025, at Chemnitz University of Technology. *Call for Student Volunteers* We warmly invite motivated students (Bachelor, Master, PhD) to apply as Student Volunteers. As a volunteer, you will support our team in organizing the conference, for example, by assisting with session management, participant support, or on-site logistics. In return for approximately 20 hours of volunteering during the conference, Student Volunteers will receive free conference registration, which grants access to all talks, workshops, and social events. [Publication] New Article on Smart Green Energy Management in Smart Cities (MDPI)

Dear Researchers, We're excited to share our newly published research article titled: *“Smart Green Energy Management for Campus: An Integrated Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning Model”* in *Smart Cities* (MDPI), Volume 8, Issue 1, 2025. *Access the full article here:* https://doi.org/10.3390/smartcities8010030 This work presents a *smart green energy management system (SGEMS)* that integrates *machine learning* (XGBoost) with *reinforcement learning* to optimize both energy consumption and solar generation across a university campus setting. Using real-world data from campus buildings, the system achieves high prediction accuracy (RMSE: 14.72 for energy consumption; 75.45 for solar generation) and enables data-driven energy decision-making through a web-based interface. *Key Contributions:* - Integrated ML + RL framework for energy forecasting and optimization. - Real-time dashboard to support energy-aware decisions for grid independence. - Campus-wide application using data from the Valahia University of Targoviste (UVTgv), Romania. - Benchmarks set for future green campus initiatives.
