Design, Art and Technologies. We are looking for outstanding and

The programme is delivered in English and lasts three years. All types of
MSc and MA are eligible, but applicants are required to be willing and
capable of engaging in interdisciplinary research. The position with
scholarship (N=7) provides a grant of approx. 1,450 Euro net per month
(increased by 50% during the research period abroad) a personal budget for
travelling (2,500 Euro per year) and a personal laptop.

ACM UMAP – User Modeling, Adaptation and Personalization – is the premier international conference for researchers and practitioners working on systems that adapt to individual users, to groups of users, and that collect, represent, and model user information. ACM UMAP is the successor to the biennial User Modeling (UM) and Adaptive Hypermedia and Adaptive Web-based Systems (AH) conferences that were merged in 2009. It is sponsored by ACM SIGCHI and SIGWEB, and organized with User Modeling Inc. as the Steering Committee. Proceedings are published by ACM and part of the ACM Digital Library.
ACM UMAP 2024 is organized as an in-presence event, with online attendance support only during workshops and tutorials (i.e., the main conference will be run fully in-presence). Only workshops and tutorials will be streamed.

We are pleased to invite proposals for workshops and tutorials to be
held in conjunction with the conference.
The goal of workshops is to provide a venue for presenting research on
focused topics of interest and an informal forum to discuss research
questions and challenges. Potential workshop topics should be related to
the general theme of the conference (“Where HCI meets AI”).
Tutorials are designed to provide fundamental knowledge and experience
on topics related to intelligent user interfaces, and the intersection
between Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Note: We encourage you to contact the chairs with your ideas
(workshops2025(a)iui.acm.org), and work together to prepare an exciting
proposal.
We encourage proposals for a wide range of workshop and tutorial formats
and activities, including but not limited to:

"Mini-conferences" on specialized topics; such workshops may have
their own paper submission and review processes.

Interactive formats to explore a certain topic during the workshop

We invite submissions of proposals for full-day and half-day workshops
or tutorials. Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by the workshop
and tutorial chairs.
Workshops with few submissions may be cancelled, shortened, merged with
other workshops, or otherwise restructured. The organizers of accepted
workshops and tutorials are responsible for producing a call for
participation and publicizing it, such as distributing the call to
relevant newsgroups and electronic mailing lists, and especially to
potential audiences from outside the IUI conference community. Workshop
and tutorial organizers will maintain their own website with information
about the workshop or tutorial and the ACM IUI 2025 website will refer
to this website. The workshop organizers will coordinate the paper
solicitation, collection, and review process. Workshops’ and tutorials’
summary will be included in the ACM Digital Library for ACM IUI 2025,

Authors are welcome to submit to all three tracks. We encourage the
submission of work in progress as well as more mature work. However, only
the contributions of at least 4 pages are eligible for inclusion in the
conference proceedings to be submitted to IEEE.
*Paper Submission*
All submissions will be fully, single-blind peer-reviewed. The expected
number of pages for contribution should not exceed 10 pages for paper.
Authors must follow IEEE ethical and writing guidelines.

*Call for Internet of Sounds Performances and Installations*
We invite submissions that showcase the internet of sounds in performance
and sound installations. Proposed works should have a clear connection to
the conference and may relate to a technical paper or demo submission. We
particularly invite pieces that last 5-12 minutes, however, shorter and
longer performance proposals will be considered.
*Performances and Installations Submission*
A proposal (compiled in a single pdf) should include:
· One-page project description
· One-page description of technical requirements
· Short program notes
· Artist bio(s)
· URL to any performance/installation audio or audio-visual documentation
(if available). The documentation link should use streaming-only services,
e.g., SoundCloud, Vimeo, YouTube.
Please keep in mind the following when preparing performance and
installation submissions:
- Space requirements: Indicate whether the work would be more suitable
for a university environment (hallways, staircases, indoor and outdoor
plazas), club, traditional concert stage, gallery, public space, or other
venue. For questions regarding equipment and venue descriptions, please
contact the Music & Installations Co-chairs
- Performer(s): List all performers that would need to be involved.
Please note that the organizers cannot provide funding to support
performers' travel or accommodation.
- Feasibility: Provide evidence of the feasibility of the performance or
installation. Include documentation and list of previous performances of
the submitted or related work that demonstrate the submitter's capacity to
implement the proposal.

The ACM 4th International Conference on Information Technology for Social Good (GoodIT 2024) is a premier international forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, and concerns, as well as practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of data and technology for addressing Social Good and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We welcome contributions that delve into the nexus of technology, data science, and social well-being, exploring how these domains interconnect and impact society.
Alongside the main track, the conference includes the Work-in-Progress and PhD Track. The Work-in-Progress Track is an excellent opportunity for practitioners and researchers to present early-stage work, offering a platform for sharing innovative ideas, receiving feedback, and fostering discussions and collaborations. The PhD Track is designed for PhD students at different stages of their research. It provides a valuable opportunity for these students to present and refine their research under the guidance of experienced researchers.
Additionally, the program will be enriched with several Special Tracks. The forthcoming Call for Papers will outline these tracks' details and specific topics.

Submission Guidelines:
Submitted papers must be original works and must not have been previously published.
All papers must clearly outline the research question, methodology, results, and implications for social good.
The papers should follow the new ACM format (https://authors.acm.org/proceedings/production-information/taps-production-…).
Main Track and Special Tracks Full Paper Submission should be a maximum of 12 pages;
Work-in-Progress papers should be a maximum of 8 pages;
Ph.D. track papers should be a maximum of 5
The indicated paper length includes references, tables, and figures. Documents with a length disproportionate to their contribution will be rejected.
These submissions will undergo a single-blind peer review process involving three evaluations each. Accepted papers will be included in the ACM Digital Library.
Each accepted paper must have at least one of its authors register for and physically present the work at the conference. Please consider that this is a condition to ensure the paper is included in the conference proceedings.
