I am Giulia Staggini, an Italian PhD student at the University of Genoa and, together with my colleague Rita Cersosimo, I outlined a Workshop "VR-Island" that has been selected for CHitaly 2021, a computer-human interaction conference. Our Workshop is about the application of immersive reality input (both AR and VR) to language teaching with a special focus on special educational needs, students with dyslexia, students in special contexts (e.g: migrants, prisoners, people with chronic deseases...). Interdisciplinary papers with various approaches and perspectives are welcome. If you're interested in participating, I invite you to submit your abstract.
