Aims and Scope
==============

*How do we design AI systems that enrich children’s learning experiences, fostering creativity, inclusivity, and personal growth?*

We invite educators, researchers, technologists, and innovators to contribute their insights, research findings, and visionary ideas on the role of AI in shaping child-centered learning environments.

This workshop aims to bring together a diverse community of thought leaders and practitioners to explore:

-  Innovative AI applications that support personalized and adaptive learning experiences for children.
-  Ethical considerations in the development and deployment of AI technologies in educational settings, ensuring that these innovations are accessible, equitable, and safe for all learners.
-  Creative and inclusive pedagogies enabled by AI, fostering environments where children can explore, create, and learn without boundaries.
-  Case studies and success stories of AI integration in learning environments, highlighting lessons learned and best practices for scaling impactful solutions.

Our goal is to foster a multidisciplinary dialogue on developing child-centered AI solutions that enhance creative learning while being mindful of inclusivity, social and ethical considerations and safeguarding against potential risks.

How to Participate
==================

Submit a short memo or extended abstract about a project you’re working on, a question you are struggling with, an idea you’d like to discuss around Human-Centered AI for Children. Alternatively, you can submit a concise position paper that could be considered for publication.

You can choose **one** of the following formats:

1. **Informal Memos:** Share your insights with a one-page memo or extended abstract. This can include project outlines, innovative ideas for discussion, or questions that spark debate on Child-Centered AI. Ideal for researchers, practitioners, educators, and enthusiasts eager to contribute their perspectives and experiences.
2. **Academic Position Papers (at least 5 pages):** Submit detailed explorations following the CEUR-WS CEURART style (https://ceur-ws.org/HOWTOSUBMIT.html). We welcome empirical research findings, theoretical frameworks, opinion pieces on key issues, and position statements that contribute to scholarly discourse on Child-Centered AI. Aimed at researchers and academics, these papers should offer some critical reflection and analysis.

Submission will be done via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ccai4ecile

At least one author authors of accepted papers register for both the workshop and main conference and attend the workshop.

Whether you are working on AI tools that support creative expression, developing platforms that offer inclusive learning experiences, or researching the impact of AI on children’s development, we welcome your contributions.

Join us in shaping a future where technology empowers every child to reach their full potential, igniting curiosity and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
