ABSTRACT

=========

In the rapidly evolving landscape of technology and sustainability, leveraging Recommender Systems has emerged as a powerful tool for driving positive change. With a foundation in AI and data analytics, Recommender Systems can be effective in various domains, from e-commerce to energy management and well-being. By harnessing the power of recommendation algorithms under a holistic perspective, organizations and researchers can guide users towards more sustainable choices and behaviors, contributing to broader environmental and social goals. With this aim, our workshop provides a unique platform for researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders to explore the integration of sustainability principles into Recommender Systems. Through presentations, discussions, and panels, participants will explore the theoretical foundations, practical implementations, and ethical and environmental considerations of sustainable Recommender Systems. By fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the workshop aims to catalyze innovation and inspire collective action towards a more sustainable future.

SUBMISSIONS

============

We encourage the submission of original contributions, investigating how Recommender Systems can contribute to a more sustainable and responsible technology ecosystem, aligning with the broader goals of achieving economic, social, and environmental sustainability. In particular, authors can submit:

(A) Full papers (max. 12 + references - Springer LLNCS format);

(B) Reproducibility papers (max. 12 + references - Springer LLNCS format);

(C) Short papers (max 6 pages + references - Springer LLNCS format);

(D) Position papers (max. 4 + references - Springer LLNCS format);

(E) Extended abstract (max 1 page + references - ORAL PRESENTATION ONLY).

To enable potential attendees to articulate their views on the topics of the workshop, share already-published works, bring awareness to ongoing European projects in this area, etc., we will also elicit 1 page-extended abstracts. This type of informal submission will be editorially reviewed by workshop organizers. Accepted contributions will be presented at the workshop, but not published in the proceedings.

Submission:  through EasyChair (an updated link will be provided soon on the workshop website)

All submitted papers will be evaluated by at least two members of the program committee, based on originality, significance, relevance and technical quality. Papers should be formatted according to the Springer LLNCS Style: (https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines)

Submissions should be double blinded. Submissions must be made through the EasyChair conference system prior the specified deadline (all deadlines refer to GMT) by selecting RecSoGood as submission track. At least one of the authors should register and take part at the conference to make the presentation.
