A full-day *workshop held on a boat *in the Venice Lagoon, exploring the
connection with natural spaces, a theme of great interest not only for
improving the *awareness* about the importance of natural spaces that
surround us, but also for their demonstrated *benefits for physical and
mental health*.
*Digital tools* can play an important role in fostering connection with
natural spaces by *informing*, *stimulating*, or *facilitating immersive
experiences*.
The journey will be an opportunity to *discuss* these *issues* and *explore
the related design space through activities* inspired by the *most
naturalistic part of the Venice Lagoon*. The field trip will be supported
by a *marine ecologist *who will introduce you to the aquatic environment
and its connections with humans and other living beings inhabiting the
Lagoon, to inspire your work.
The workshop is organized as a *full-day activity*, hosted on a *hybrid
boat* that will depart *from San Servolo* (the AVI 2026 conference site
https://www.unive.it/avi2026) in the morning and travel in the North
Lagoon. The return to San Servolo is scheduled for the afternoon.
*Seats are limited!*
